Water Temperature – 11.5C, Clarity (Secchi disc)3.5m.
Plenty of fish in the stocking pens but we don’t want to make it too easy for the two big finals that are looming – The National Final and the National Club Championships……a good problem.
I have not been asking too many folk what is doing as many are busy researching for these events, however there are always a few loose tongues. It would appear that Gateside Bay still has the biggest congregation of fish and if it is not too busy and overcast a dry or two in here is a good option, otherwise subsurface tactics (eg washing line with diawls, buzzers or cormorants) using a sink tip or floater are the best bet. Lots of other areas are fishing well and good or best bags have often been had by those exploring further afield.
Youth Coach Alisdair Mair returned this nice bow and Colin Clark from Inverary took this fine brown for the pot from the cages on the dependable damsel. Holiday maker Chris Tatner released this fine brown also in Gateside. Chris had 9 fish on Daddies and Cormorants.
SCOTTISH CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP PRACTICE BOATS (THURS 20TH SEPT) WILL BE FINALISED TOMORROW. OUR RECORDS SHOW THAT THE FOLLOWING CLUBS: SALTIRE, LINTRATHEN, NEILSTON, CHANGE AND DUNFERMLINE RUSTY NAIL HAVE NOT BOOKED ANY PRACTICE BOATS. LAST CHANCE GUYS…..
