CATCH AND RELEASE
FOOD AT THE FISHERY
Lake of Menteith 14th Aug 2018
6ft Water Temperature – 14C Clarity (Secchi disc)3m.
The fish have continued to come up the water column so fishing either on the surface or just below the surface seems to be the best way to catch fish using dries i.e yellow owls, grunters or double decker’s. Skinny cormorants, diawl bachs, candy booby and damsels are the flies that are working. Fish are getting caught in rookery, burn mouth in cage bay malling shore to stable point and also the heronry.
Could you please remember to fill the catch return sheets even if you were on catch and release.
