Report 27/03/18

Clarity 3m Water Temp 6ft 3C

The weather in the second week of fishing has been considerably better than the arctic blast which greeted the anglers on opening day,
Straight line buzzer fishing (small and black) has been successful. A fast glass line or di3 and the yellow dancer or boobies has also taken a lot of fish - as has a team of cormorants (4 on a cast?) when the fish went off the buzzer or the lures. Plenty of good catches (20 or 30 and above per boat) have been recorded and the best area has been the shallow sheltered water of Lochend, Tod Hole and Kates Brae. A lot of over wintered fish in the catches like this one pictured by Colin Riach who was out with Heriots AC (7 boats 37 trout).
