Lake of Menteith 2nd July
6ft Water Temperature  14C , Clarity (Secchi disc) 2.0m.

Chris Ward from Ayrshire was on his first visit to the Lake with regular James Litster (“The early morning was amazing. I have never seen a rise like that on the Lake before”). Chris is pictured here with the first of his seven fish caught on dries.  James and Chris were out on our second 4- 9am early Saturday morning shift and due to a limited but enthusiastic demand there will be an additional early morning shift put on for the 14th July.

Water temperature is remaining cool and the overcast conditions, coupled with low to moderate clarity, appears to be ideal conditions for the dry fly.  Areas reported to be fishing are Lochend, Gateside Bay and Malling Shore.
