The wind has finally turned westerly so the fish have moved up towards cages, Malling shore round to the Heronry. There has been a good hatch of sedges this week and I  saw daphnia for the first time this year  so the fish are still on top of the water. Flies that are doing well include Yellow owls, Olives, Diawl bachs, Crunchers, buzzers as well as tequila booby’s. The fish have been putting on some weight and fighting well so it might be advisable increasing the breaking strain (recommend 10lb minimum). With the early mornings (4am to 9am) fishing well we will be having another on Saturday 28th July.
