Lake of Menteith 25th Sept
6ft Water Temperature  10C, Clarity (Secchi disc) 1.7m .

Some cold nights have dropped the temperature and the stormy conditions eventually did arrive at the Lake and fishing was cancelled on Tuesday 25th due to the worsening conditions.  It calmed down in the afternoon and we managed to stock just over 900 fish. The Lake is (hopefully) destined to fish well, right up to the end of the season this year, as we appear to have plenty of stock fish. In fact the last few stockings will be some cracking big bows. All we need is little co-operation from the weather. Fishing has been good I hear at Sam’s and Shear Point – as well as Gateside and Lochend, and the booby (preferably two) is the current tactic of choice on a sinking line.

Scottish Club Championship Second Semi-final Results
22 teams of three took part in this match and the 66 anglers landed 315 fish with a rod average of 4.8 fish. The mean weight of the fish from these results was 2.7lbs or 2lbs 11oz. The top 10 teams progress to the Final this Friday.
