Happy Easter hope you all rolled your eggs down the hill. The week started of quite windy and finished wet and windy but despite that there are still fish to be caught on the surface. There is still a good hatch of buzzers.

Places to fish on the Lake include Sam’s point into hotel bay, Shear point, Katie’s Brae, Lochend up into the Shooting butts also out in the middle of the lake out from the Road Shore.
Flies that are doing well include Montana’s, buzzers, cormorants mini lures (Vivas, Cats whiskers and Ace of Spades) Diawl Bachs, Blood worms and Yellow dancers on floating lines down to a Di3.

Catches: On the 1st Jim Walker from Edinburgh 10 fish for 19ld 10oz plus 6 returned, Jim Law from Wishaw had 6 for 13lb. Gary McDonald from Middleton kept 10 fish for 18lb and returned 4, Change a.c. (5 boats) caught 45 fish for 86lb plus 52 fish, Trout and Fly forum were out for there annual outing and they caught 65 fish for 134lb plus 36 returned On Saturday Grizzlecats ( 6 boats) caught 32 fish for 64lb and returned 71, Heriots  a.c. (8 boats) 13 fish for 26lb and returned 29 fish, Bothwell and Blantyre a.c. (8 Boats) 38 fish for 71lb and returned another 12,. On Easter Sunday the youth national team were out practicing and they caught 7 fish for 14 ½ lb and returned another 29 fish, the Butcher boys from Kilbirnie caught 55 fish for 99lb and put back another 5, Ferry fly fishers caught 33 fish for 75lb, on Monday Stanley and District caught 23 fish for 43lb, ICI caught 35 fish for 68 lb and returned 19 fish, Derek Knight from Dunfermline brought in 10 fish for 18 ¾ lbs and returned another 10.
