Clean Sweep of Medals
(left to right) Colin MacDonald (Biggest Fish), George Barron (IFFA President), Wullie Leach (Capt.) with the team trophy and Ray Anderson with the Brown Bowl for best bag.
Scotland waded out easy winners with 135 fish, Ireland 107, Wales 106 and England 99.
Top bag was Ray Anderson from Fife with 18 trout. A lot of the best bags on the day came from the Shear Point Drift. Ray was fishing a sink tip line with a booby (biscuit and cut throat) and diawl bach combination. In all, the anglers netted 477 fish, giving a catch average of 8 fish per angler with an average weight of 2lbs 12oz. 2nd top bag was Scot Ken Oliver with 16 and Kenny Miller of Scotland was 4th overall.
Great catch averages and with just over a month to go there are still plenty of fish to be stocked – so let’s hope for a mild autumn.
Frank Boggie (left) was down from Aberdeen and landed this nice brace of browns in his five fish bag limit.

Appears to be quite a few boats left for Sunday 27th October. Due to the clocks going back, the last sunday is 12 till 5ish and we will discount these boats by 30%. We have plenty of fish left for the final month and we will be stocking right up to the end of the season and in mid winter as we have found that these fish do very well overwintered and are well switched on to buzzers in the following season.
