Temperature at 6ft 21c. WE ARE IMPOSING A LIMIT OF 12 FISH PER ANGLER ON CATCH AND RELEASE.
This BT was caught by regular Janis a few days ago and he reckoned on just under 12lbs. It was caught deep (30 to 40ft) in Gateside Bay/Inchmahome Deeps – OUR HOTSPOT.

Keep it in the water 🤷

That will be belly up shame braw big fish to .

Think that big yin has been caught a few times in that area 🎣

I agree with the limit, I think I've had a great day when I've caught half a dozen, but how do you enforce a catch and release limit?

The fish are taking a long time to recover just now, especially if they are being brought up from the deeps.

Great fish 🙏 avoid them bouncing on the bottom of the boat like that. Well done on the release

Wow – well done 👏 nice one 👍

Has anyone involved with the Lake heard anything about the Greys comp heat held at Ladybower on 5 July?

The water temp has hit 19c so Pike fishing has been suspended till the water cools down.
On Heat 10 of the Menteith boat league sponsored by Fario Flies 10 braved the hot evening an caught 48 fish, going from what i heard it should have bee a lot more but the anglers were playing dropsy. Top rod of the evening was Bill Ramage with 9 fish, second was Fergus Aitchison with 8 fish. best tactics were either dries of using the washing line.
Willie Campbell wins the Flybox with some flies and Brian Quinn wins the voucher.

ROAD CLOSURES.
For those coming to us through Thornhill, the road between Thornhill and the junction for the A81 to Callander is closed during the days. The detour will add about 5 minutes to your journey.

Good news they have finished the road to Thornhill early so you can come that way as normal.

STIRLING DISTRICT JUST LOVE TO CLOSE ROADS BECAUSE OF UNREALISTIC HEALTH AND SAFETY 💩

The Lake is FISHING REALLY WELL NOW WITH STOCKIES AVERAGING AROUND 3LBS and all the action on the top. Loving this July weather :). In ADDITION we are SUPER QUIET which is normal as it is Fair Fortnight type thing and it can be too hot for our sport but to have exceptionally good fish, fishing conditions and peacefullness is a tripple whammy.
On the ninth night of the FARIO Menteith Boat League 8 anglers netted a rod average of 8 plus.
Best rod on the night was 2019 winner Bill Ramage. Bill had 14 fish on a fast sink tip floater. Teamed up with a booby on the point, foam daddy in themiddle and a blob on the top dropper. He said if there was any activity in the vicinity he pulled in like mad. Think Donnie was on dries and Fergus was fishing a similar set up to bill. The hot spot is at thetop of the wind still – on the Malling Shore.

CATCH AND RELEASE LIMIT. The fish are deep now the wind has dropped. We are introducing a 12 fish limit per angler on catch and release as the water is 20 plus near the surface and the fish need help going back. Use a time bonus system or go by the time of the first fish caught.
In the SANACC Semi Erland Hutchison had his 13 fish limit by midday today. Top area Gateside Bay

Pet fish…

Catch and release the nail in the coffin for fishing .fishery’s even selling fish counting gadgets everytime a fish is caught click it. wtf is wrong with people fishery’s charging £35 for catch and release if they catch less than 20 it needs stocking .keep a fish it cost £8 per fish and must be under 4lb in weight .is it any wonder no youngsters are fishing .😡😡😡😡

Best not having an opinion on things you’ll get banned depending on who spouts the biggest lies !!

What about guys that don’t eat fish why kill them to throw in bin It’s all about the take Do you pay fortune for fags to throw away Or drink to piss down the drain It’s all about enjoyment at the end of the day
